Currently in Australia natural alternatives are only available via prescription from a medical practitioner who has gained approval from the therapeutic goods administration to prescribe. What SAS applications are approved in Australia for natural alternatives?
The Special Access Scheme (SAS) allows certain health practitioners to access therapeutic goods (such as medicines, medical devices or biologicals) that are not included in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) for a single patient.
